Paligremnos Wall

Having visited Dive2gether for a look around back in April, we booked a couple of boat dives last week when we were in Plakias for a beach-day with visiting relatives. As we were going to be using our own equipment, they advised us they would want to test our BCDs and regulators.

We arrived yesterday morning at 08:30 and met our guides for the day, Linda (who is part of the Marine Biology Research team) and Electra (who is currently on their Bootcamp programme). After checking our equipment, we packed everything into personal crates for the short trip to the port.

Arriving at the boat, everyone helped load the tanks, crates and other necessities. After setting up our equipment and a quick welcome from the boat captain, we all introduced ourselves before setting off for the first dive site.

We dived Willy’s Wall in Damnoni Bay and Paligremnos Wall in Plakias Bay. After the variety of sea life we saw, we will definitely be back for more diving here; sea slugs, grouper, ray, purple frilly Flabellina, loads of lion fish, scorpionfish and hermit crab.

Once we were back in port, everyone helped unloading the equipment and we were soon back at Dive2gether filling in our logbooks.
